More Than Mummies was kindly asked by Little Buttons Boutique to review one of their Autumn range Hatley Tops. We were sent a lovely long sleeved ‘Making Tracks’ Farmer Jack Tractor boys top.
First of all can I just say how beautifully the top was packaged. Wrapped in tissue paper, and tied with a Little Buttons Boutique ribbon I was really impressed with how it was presented. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take a picture of this because I made the mistake of telling my little boy what was inside the package and he was so excited (he loves tractors!) that he’d opened it before I had chance to get my camera!
Once he’d opened the tissue paper, he was so excited to see the Tractor top and wanted to get changed and try it on straight away.
And he didn’t take it off all day!
The top is grey with red and grey striped sleeves, it has a red tractor on the front and ‘Making Tracks’ written on the back.
This is my first introduction to the Hatley brand of clothing and I was really impressed. The top is made from 100% cotton sueded jersey, and is lovely quality. You can tell just by feeling the fabric that it will be hard wearing and long lasting.
We received the top to review last week, and after wearing it the day it arrived he wanted me to wash it so he could wear it again to a party at the weekend. The top washed really well, thank goodness as I have a feeling it will be worn and washed quite a lot!
The top we reviewed was aged 4, my son recently turned 4 and is of average size and the top was a little on the big size. Personally I prefer children’s clothing to be on the generous side, and would much rather roll the sleeves up while he grows into it rather that have items of clothing that only just fit, so it was perfect.
The long sleeves are great for the Autumn and forthcoming Winter weather and the striped sleeves would look fab under a gilet jacket.
There are various different designs in long sleeved tops in the Hatley range available at Little Buttons Boutiques, featuring planes and trucks for boys and horses, bows and a super cute owl for girls. I would definitely consider ordering more of these tops for my son, as well as other clothing in the Hatley range. Little Buttons Boutique also stock Hatley coats, which are adorable, as well as pyjamas, shirts and dresses.
The Hatley range is not expensive, the tops costing around £16 and the coats around £28-£30 and if the high quality is apparent throughout their range then they do provide really good value for money.
After reading a little more about Hatley on the Little Buttons Boutique website, I was even more impressed to find out that the brand has strong environmental and ethical values and do their best to source fabrics that are made from natural fibres. If you would like to find our more about Hatley, check out one of Little Buttons Boutiques latest blog posts www.littlebuttonsboutique.co.uk/blog/hatley-raincoats-pyjamas .
Little Buttons Boutique also stock other children’s brands, such as Frugi, Blade and Rose and Piccalilly to name but a few.
If you were buying something from Little Buttons Boutique as a gift for someone, you will not be disappointed, the package was wrapped so wonderfully that all you would need to do is pop it in a gift bag.
The top was dispatched really quickly and the customer service at Little Buttons Boutique cannot be faulted! Little Buttons Boutique also offers free UK delivery which is a wonderful added bonus and I will definitely be a returning customer!
