Just wondered if anyone had any good tips to help lose a bit of weight quickly, now it's warmed up I'm feeling a little self concious in my shorts and t-shirts, and despite having been to the gym regulary since the start of the new year, I'm struggling to shed some extra pounds.

With working at home I'm probably sat at the laptop more than ideally but have been trying to go out for a walk each lunchtime or evening with my little boy either on his bike or in his buggy.

Have seen this 'Bikini boot camp: Drop a dress size and lose a stone in just two weeks' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/fem…..weeks.html don't think a stone in 2 weeks is realistic but thinking of giving the diet a try which involves eating 5 small meals a day (some days now when I'm busy I only have one and a snack) so this will be totally different to what I do now.

Has anyone tried a diet like this and how did it work?

I'd also love some ideas for healthy snacks as this is something I struggle with.

As well as any foods to definitely cut out?

I'm resigned to the fact I may have to give my once a week takeaway and couple of glasses of wine up for a few weeks Frown and if I have to I'll cut down on my cups of tea!

Im using "myfitnesspal" app on my iPhone. It's amazing, let's you keep count on your calories & suggests max calorie intake based on weight/height/amount you want to loose. Also, if you are using it on an iPhone, you can literally just scan the barcode of the products and it finds them for you to input and it knows the calorie value from its database! You just enter portion size, I love it.

I'll have to look that app up, it sounds great!

I've been going to the gym for a few months now, doing 3/4 sessions a week and I'm not really losing anything either. I did notice that I had lost some weight when I cut fizzy drinks out and stuck to mainly squash and water, also eating more veg and not so many crisps! Pringles (Salt and Vinegar) are my weakness along with some Milkybar. It's so difficult to eat healthily though as fruit and veg seem to cost so much more than just 'easy junk' foods. Definitely having 3 meals a day helps, most importantly breakfast and getting enough sleep is meant to help too. Sorry it's not a lot of help and probably stuff you already know!
